DISTRIBUTION AND HABITAT
This species is endemic and it can be found only on Batanta Island in the province of West Papua, in Indonesia, in the Pacific Ocean. It inhabits lowland tropical forests, where the average temperature is between 29 and 31°C.
BEHAVIOUR
It is diurnal and arboreal. The prehensile tail, which is 3/4 of the body length, and the claws make it easier to climb trees.
DIET
Dieta gatunku składa się głównie z patyczaków, koników polnych, świerszczy, chrząszczy i okazjonalnie jagód.
REPRODUCTION
It reaches sexual maturity after 1.5 years. Copulation lasts about 5-6 minutes. It takes 4-5 weeks from the moment of approach to laying eggs. Several-day-old young take food on their own.

The tongue of lizards consists of two parts: a fleshy thick sheath, and long, thin and forked at the end touch part.
