DISTRIBUTION AND HABITAT
This is an endemic species which is unique on the island of Bali. It lives in forests.
BEHAVIOUR
Bali Myna spends most of the time in the tree tops. Rarely comes to the ground to find food, water or nesting materials. Young birds gather in groups which easier locate food and together watch out for predators.
DIET
It feeds on fruits, seeds, small invertebrates and insects.
REPRODUCTION
Breeding pairs establish territories at the onset of the first rains after which the birds start to bring twigs, grass, feathers and leaves into the nest hole. This bird builds nest in tree cavity. Female lays and incubates two or three eggs. Both parents bring food to the nest for chicks after hatching.
